Five Must Try Android Apps

July 19, 2011
Applications you can't afford to miss. The number of apps in the Android market is exponentially increasing in numbers as Android-based tablets and smartphone continue to flood the markets. We decided to narrow down a few choices for you and suggest some of the best apps for Android-based devices.

This list is not comprehensive but we can assure you that these apps, some free and some paid, are a must-have for your device. All these apps have been tested using Samsung Galaxy Ace.

LogMeIn Ignition

LogMeIn Ignition is a great remote-desktop client/application, which works wonders if you have a good internet connection, for your Android device. The interface is fairly simple to use, easy to set up and it is easy to access all your important files on any desktop without any hassles. However, the quality is available at a premiun of Rs. 1,335.25 from the Android Market.

Quadrant Standard

There are benchmarks tools/softwares for many PC peripherals. But did you know that Android smartphones have third-party benchmark software to check the performance of your device? This tool is very useful to determine the performance of your device and how it fares against competition and whether your LG Optimus One (P500) can play Angry Birds or Need For Speed: Shift without any lag! This great app is available for free in the Android Market.

Kobo

We believe every smartphone needs to have an e-book reader and Kobo is a very good option when it comes to Android-based devices. The interface is gorgeous and it is easy to set up an account and start reading. The most interesting aspect of Kobo is that the app tracks your reading life and makes reading more interesting. We love the app. You can get it from the Android Market for free.

Seesmic

For those who love Twitter and have an Android smartphone/tablet, Seesmic is the best bet for a Twitter client. You can also access your Facebook feeds using Seesmic and create multiple accounts. The interface is very intuitive and works like a charm. One great thing about Seesmic is that we found it to be a stable app for Android devices. You can test this app for free from the #AndroidMarket.

Myappsharer

Myappsharer is exactly what the name suggests. It lets you share apps easily and is a complete no nonsense app. You can share the .apk files over Bluetooth or just mail it to your friends. What do you prefer? Get this app for free from the Android Market.
