Twitter is Now Grown Up With More Than 100 MIlion Active Users !!

Twitter CEO Dick Costolo shared some interesting stats about Twitter’s growth, Also Twitter doesn't plan to IPO anytime soon. Costolo shared these stats during an interview at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco.

• Twitter now has 100 million active global users, half of the users log in every day.

• Twitter now delivers almost 250,000 million tweets every day, up from 100 million a day at the beginning of this year. For more perspective, he said it took 3 years and 2 months to for Twitter to deliver its first billion tweets.

• Mobile is growing 40 percent each quarter. With the release of Apple's iOS 5 last week--a system that closely integrates Twitter--the daily sign up was up three times. "And that was just on the first day," Costolo said.

The company has raised about $800 million in venture capital. The move of other companies, like LinkedIn, Groupon, and Zynga toward IPOs this year, has raised speculation that Twitter might also soon file to go public. But Costolo dismissed that idea.
